Architectural Technologist

We are open to talk to candidates that have an Architectural Technologist background. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with our key clients in several different sectors including education, ecclesiastical, commercial and residential. The candidate should be able to work within a team as much as independently and have the skills necessary to be able to research, develop and produce relevant architectural solutions for a variety of building types, throughout the entire construction process. They should feel comfortable working with other consultants and construction teams on varied projects. It is acknowledged that graduate applicants will possess an appropriate level of understanding in terms of stages of work and construction techniques.

Day-to-day tasks include creating accurate architectural drawings, liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants, and ensuring projects adhere to current Building Regulations. Qualifications

  • Architectural knowledge

  • Ability to create technical, working, and construction drawings

  • Proficiency in architectural and construction drawing software (AutoCAD / Revit)

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants

  • Experience working with BIM/Revit software is beneficial

  • Adobe Creative Suite experience an advantage

  • RIBA Architectural Technologist Degree

Architect

The successful candidate is expected to be able to work well both as part of a team but also individually. They should be able to demonstrate considered judgement and be able to demonstrate the ability to multi task within a wide range of sectors and projects of varying scale, which includes education, ecclesiastical, commercial and industrial.

Experience in housing projects would be an advantage, both bespoke single dwellings to larger scale residential schemes for both Local Authority and private development, both of which form an important part of our expertise and current workload.

They will be required to assist with all aspects of the design process and have an appropriate understanding of construction contracts and their administration, with proven experience delivering projects to site with efficient and accurate resourcing of time and skills at this stage.

They should also demonstrate a thorough and up to date knowledge of the current Building Regulations and the RIBA work stages.

  • Experience within the residential sector.

  • Job running experience through all aspects of the RIBA work stages.

  • Excellent AutoCAD drawing and presenting skills.

  • Revit knowledge and experience a distinct advantage.

  • Adobe Creative Suite knowledge and experience.

  • UK Architecture: 3 years (preferred)
