Grimm and Co are a Yorkshire wide centre, based in Rotherham, where young people come and enjoy creative, imaginative writing for pleasure.

The children’s literacy charity has relocated to a larger premises, not too far from their old home to begin a new magical journey in the former Talbot Methodist Church. Their new premises includes a cafe, bookshop, performance zones for showcasing children’s work as well as class spaces and a new home for their magical retail shop.

“Grimm & Co is an arts-based literacy charity that helps children and young people to make meaning of the world around them and their place within it through the joyful discovery of stories. Grimm & Co is based in Rotherham town centre but works across Yorkshire, Humberside and beyond, and opened the doors to its original building in February 2016. The charity works with thousands of children and young people every year and recently developed a range of activities and programmes to support those who influence children/young people’s literacies with creative techniques that inspire and motivate to learn, develop and build confidence. Grimm & Co showcase the children’s artistic outcomes from published books through to professional performances, championing the writer in every child.
