New Build

Refurbishment

Following our appointment to create a site-wide masterplan for this prestigious private school, Halliday Clark were commissioned to design a new science faculty and access link.

Not wanting to settle for the mundane, we pushed the budget as far as it would possibly go to form the Learning Link, which became so much more than a corridor.

The space created is now used for all manner of events, displays and small group learning, but perhaps more crucially, it has enabled the school to open up its timetable, creating a flow of pupils between their class spaces which would have been impossible prior to the creation of the link.

Bradford Grammar School, Clarkson Library

The refurbishment of the Clarkson library building gives Bradford Grammar School a brand new 21st century library, offering students and staff a vital resource within the school.  The brief was to create a library that can become the heart of the school with an ethos of ‘tradition and innovation.’

The building has been designed to reflect the differences in individual learning styles, promoting a wide range of teaching strategies such as project work, individual study, group research, reading, and themed browsing.  Externally the building has been re-clad with glazing to allow daylight and a better connection with the rest of the school.
