Won through competition, Carlton Hill is championed as the most efficient student accommodation scheme in Leeds. Based upon traditional construction techniques, the 4-storey scheme cleverly intersperses ground floor 4-bed flats, including fully fitted disabled units, with 7-bed townhouses above.

The original Carlton Hill was completed in 2004. Some sixteen years later it has been demolished to make way for it’s bigger sister… Carlton Hill Phase II, which has since been completed in 2023 and is home to 604 students.

The project received the ‘Housing and City of Leeds' Award for Architecture in 2002.
